The NY to Paris were my last pair of 1s, but I’m finally back in the 1s game with these Air Jordan 1 High OG Dark Mocha. The shoes get their name from the colorway and according to some resemble the Travis Scott Jordan 1 highs.
How Are The Materials on the Air Jordan 1 Mocha?
Overall the materials on the AJ1 Mocha are decent. While not on the upper end of quality as far as Air Jordan 1s, the suede helps increase the luxurious feel of the sneaker.
We get a slightly shiny sail leather on the lighter panels with a nice tumbled finish. Whether or not this is actual leather remains to be seen, however it is at least on point visually and texturally. The black leather is a smooth leather, not bad but overall unremarkable. The mocha suede is definitely nice, with a slight backstroke and very soft feel. This bit of material really dresses these up, and so for a Jordan 1 High retro I think the materials are very nice!
These came in a regular black and red Air Jordan 1 High box and include black and sail laces. Other than the included laces, these don’t ship with any extras
How Do The Air Jordan 1 Mocha Fit?
The AJ1 Mocha techically fit true to size. The shoe is fairly narrow widthwise as most Air Jordan 1s tend to be. Many choose to increase by a half size for a extra breathing room and comfort.
The AJ1 is not known for its comfort, but these are decently comfy for a few hours of wear at a time. The Air unit in the midsole is not really detectable when worn casually as far as any additional cushioning goes.
While I missed out on the Travis Scott 1s, these are a great shoe to have in the collection. In hand, besides the palette I’m not really seeing a strong resemblance to the TS1. Overall these can stand as their own shoe and I can highly recommend them for any fan of the AJ1 high. Let’s hope my lucky SNKRS streak continues!
